Classic Car Shows are a wonderful public exhibition in which you can see your favorite cars lined down the streets. Cars ranging from early classic models, out of production vehicles, custom hot rods, classic trucks and even limited edition current models. An event that I happened to stumble upon last year was the Old Fashioned 4th of July Car Show in Blaine, WA. This quaint border town between the U.S. and Canada had a festive event including a car show that brought together many car enthusiasts and owners in one central location. While some cars shows occur on a grander scale, the Old Fashioned 4th of July proved to be the perfect amount of cars and extra-curricular activities; including a yummy pancake breakfast, and arts & crafts fair, jazz concerts in the park and of course fireworks over Semiahmoo Bay. As I found out, the event takes place every year falling on the 4th of July and classic cars and trucks litter the streets of downtown Blaine.
I happened to find this event while looking online for car shows in Washington State. OldRide.com is a classic car website which has one of the most comprehensive directories for classic car events listed throughout the United States and Canada. It was great because they also had a gallery where I could view photos from past events. You can visit OldRide’s event page http://www.oldride.com/events/index.html to learn more about classic car events occurring in your area.
Car shows such as Old Fashioned 4th of July Show in Blaine, WA. seem to be pretty common in the US and Canada. I find that people from neighboring cities or even states flock to participate. Not only are these classic car shows attended by classic car owners, but enthusiasts and spectators. Classic Car Shows and Events are a good time for the whole family.
